Approach
Openaid focuses on addressing susceptibility to exploitation and abuse in high risk areas. We prioritise relationships and dialogue to nurture community interaction and initiatives that address vulnerability to sexual abuse from nationals and foreign tourists.
Core programs have been initiated to address education, economic and gender issues. Challenging gender relations is a primary concern for poverty reduction. Specifically gender inequalities increase susceptibility to abuse. Our grassroots program is challenging deeply ingrained beliefs and opening opportunities for women and girls to effect change.
